Pan fry the Cheese Frankfurter for 6-8 minutesuntil heated through and lightly golden.
On the same Pan, add little oil and cook onions over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until soft, golden and caramalised, set aside
Place a slice of Black Forest Ham in the air fryer and cook until crisp. Once cooled slightly, break or chop into shards to use as crispy toppings
Slice the croissant lengthways, keeping the hinge intact. Lightly toast cut side down for 1-2 minutes (optional but recommended for added structure)
Layer the fillings. Lay the Black Forest Ham directly onto the bottom half of the croissant. Place the Cheese Frankfurter on top. Spoon over the caramalised onions. Finish with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella
Air fry until cheese is melted and the croissant is lightly golden or place on a baking tray and bake for 6-8 minutes until the Cheese is melted and the croissant is golden but still soft
Top with crispy Black Forest Ham shards, then finish by drizzling with any sauce of your choice before serving
