Croissant Loaded Dog

Ingredients

  • 1 Croissant
  • 1 Cheese Frankfurter
  • 1 Slice of Black Forest Ham
  • 1 Onion
  • Sauce of your choice

Instructions

  • Pan fry the Cheese Frankfurter for 6-8 minutesuntil heated through and lightly golden.
  • On the same Pan, add little oil and cook onions over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until soft, golden and caramalised, set aside
  • Place a slice of Black Forest Ham in the air fryer and cook until crisp. Once cooled slightly, break or chop into shards to use as crispy toppings
  • Slice the croissant lengthways, keeping the hinge intact. Lightly toast cut side down for 1-2 minutes (optional but recommended for added structure)
  • Layer the fillings. Lay the Black Forest Ham directly onto the bottom half of the croissant. Place the Cheese Frankfurter on top. Spoon over the caramalised onions. Finish with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella
  • Air fry until cheese is melted and the croissant is lightly golden or place on a baking tray and bake for 6-8 minutes until the Cheese is melted and the croissant is golden but still soft
  • Top with crispy Black Forest Ham shards, then finish by drizzling with any sauce of your choice before serving
