Christmas Holidays

Christmas is the busiest time of year for many companies, and we do our best to ensure you get your delivery when you expect it. We advise to order as in advance as possible to ensure you get your delivery in good time. As you will be aware The Sausage Man uses 3rd party couriers, this year more than usual these couriers will be extremely busy. We are advising all customers ordering sausages for Christmas and New Year period to order week commencing Monday 13th December as early in the week as possible.

Our Holiday Schedule in Short:

Delivery Before Christmas

• Parcel Orders – 12pm Thursday 23rd December 2021
• Pallet Orders – 12pm Tuesday 21st December 2021

Delivery Before New Years

• Open for Parcel Orders on Wednesday 29 December & Thursday 30 December
• Order by 12pm on Wednesday 30 December for Parcel only delivery on New Year’s Eve

Normal Parcel services will resume on Tuesday 4 January 2022.

Pallet services resume Wednesday 5 January 2022.

Order Before 13 December

In order to make sure you recieve your goods ahead of Christmas we strongly recommend ordering the week commencing 13th December. Although we will be operating our delivery service between Monday 20th and Thursday 23rd December, our couriers will be extremely busy. This year more than ever. They will have the same staffing problems and transport issues from this season that everyone else does. Plus the recent HGV driver shortages issues the UK has experienced. As well as coronavirus related problems. As such, they do not guarantee next day delivery and do not insure goods against loss. Because we send perishable food items, if a package is not delivered, they are often destroyed. The Sausage Man UK recommends that you read our full terms and conditions on 3rd party couriers.

Alternative delivery methods

Temperature Controlled Pallets

Frozen and chilled pallet companies work in a slightly different way since they can store our goods for some time if necessary. This means they have different operating times to those published above. If you would like a quotation for a temperature-controlled pallet, please contact us at the earliest opportunity. This service must be booked and paid for 24 hours before dispatch, so it is best to contact us at least a couple of days before you need it loaded, the earlier the better.

Sausage Man Van Delivery

The Sausage Man UK Ltd runs our fleet of vans in and around central London, going to and from our base in Dartford, Kent. These ‘shared’ routes load several deliveries all in a similar area, and may be a chargeable service. We can also do bespoke dedicated van deliveries when we have the capacity. We will be running a number of extra vans this Christmas. All van delivery enquiries should be made by contacting us directly, as far in advance as possible.
