Christmas Delivery Times

At the Sausage Man we always do everything we can to ensure you get your delivery when you expect it. Because Christmas is an extremely busy period, we advise our customers to order ahead to ensure you get your delivery in good time. All courier networks experience higher volumes throughout the holidays, and this year is likely to prove even busier than usual. We are advising all of our customers planning to have some tasty German sausage in time for Christmas to order before the week commencing Monday 14 December 2020.

Our Holiday Schedule

• Cut off for Commercial (Pallet) Orders for delivery before Christmas – 12pm Tuesday 22 December 2020
• Cut off for Retail (Parcel) Orders for delivery on Christmas Eve – 12pm Wednesday 23 December 2020
• Open for Retail (Parcel) Orders on Tuesday 29 December & Wednesday 30 December
• Order by 12pm on Wednesday 30 December for Parcel only delivery on New Year’s Eve

Normal services will resume on Monday 4 January 2021.

Order Before 14 December Where Possible

In order to make sure you get your order ahead of Christmas, we would strongly advise that you get your orders in before the week commencing 14 December 2020. Though we will still be operating our delivery service right up until Tuesday 22 December for bulk orders and Wednesday 23 December for retail parcels, our couriers will be extremely busy, and we think it’s better to be safe than sorry in this case. We are unable to take responsibility for orders that do not arrive next day in the period from 14 December 2020 to 10 January 2020. Refunds based on unusable food when orders arrive outside of the 48 hours dispatch period will be suspended during this time.

Parcel Only Service

We will be undertaking a parcel-only delivery service on Tuesday 29 December and Wednesday 30 December, with no Pallet deliveries available at this time. Again, we are anticipating that this will be an extremely busy time, both for our couriers and our warehouse teams. Though we will (as always) do everything we can to ensure your deliveries arrive when you expect them, we still advise ordering earlier to be sure you get your sausage order ahead of New Year’s Eve.

Parcel or Pallet?

Not sure what type of order you’re placing? If you are ordering sausages you plan to eat yourself, or as a gift for a friend/family member this Christmas, you are a Retail customer. This means that you are probably only ordering a “Parcel” – unless you’re ordering an awful lot of sausage for Xmas, of course. Commercial customers are more likely to be ordering by the Pallet. Usually this will be if you’re ordering on behalf of your business, maybe to sell at Xmas markets, restaurants or shops (etc.). Because commercial customers often order in larger volumes, they will often require pallet-sized deliveries. Usually if you’re a commercial customer, you’ll already know. If you are a commercial wholesale customer ordering throughout the holiday period, please note that Pallet deliveries will stop after the 22 December cut off (for delivery on 23/24 December) resuming again from 4 January 2021.

Deliveries Resume 4 January 2021

All deliveries will resume from Monday 04 January 2021 and any orders made during our closure will be fulfilled from this point. Please note that there may be additional processing time as we work to clear any backlog from orders placed during the holiday closure. Find out more about our regular delivery service here.
