Oktoberfest has fast become a huge event celebrated throughout the UK. But, with it’s popularity growing, many venues are trying to find their own unique spin on the occasion. Back in 2022 our customer Big Smoke Brew Co, decided they were upping the anti for 2022 by celebrating Oktoberfest authentically in all 12 pubs. Hosting on such a large scale was not something they had done before, so 2022 was going to be a big year.

Who are Big Smoke Brew Co.

Born in 2014 at The Antelope in Surbiton, Big Smoke Brew Co. has fast become a much loved place to go. All thanks to it’s amazing ethos, which is simply, enjoy great beer and have fun. Now, the great beer aspect is easily achieved as Big Smoke Brew have their own brewery in Esher, Surry. So, next is the fun element and throwing an Oktoberfest event definitely brings fun to any venue.

Authenticity is key

The main focus from Big Smoke Brew Co. was to make their Oktoberfest celebrations as authentic as possible. You can follow all the traditions down to the Oompah music but you need to get those German flavours on the menu. So, what you need is a company who can deliver this. Well, good news is, The Sausage Man (us), import authentic German products that have been crafted by German butchers through the generations. Trust us these butchers know what they are doing. From the all year round classic sausages to Oktoberfest specialities, we can supply it all.

Tapping the cask ceremony

Keeping up with the authenticity Big Smoke added some theatrics to their celebrations. Adding the Oktoberfest speciality Helles on tap, you need a big ceremony to kick the event off.
